Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This policy explains how CV Civets collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information through this website and during service-related communications. CV Civets is the responsible party for this processing.
Information We Collect
- Your name, email address, telephone number, enquiry, and selected service or package preferences when you use our contact form.
- CV content, career history, and other information you later choose to provide so that we can deliver an agreed service.
- Eligibility or supporting documents supplied through an agreed communication channel, where a package requires verification. These may include a school report, matric or NSC certificate, academic transcript, completion letter, or qualification certificate.
- Limited technical and security information, such as an IP address, browser signals, submission timing, and spam-check results.
- Consent choices and, only when separately permitted, website analytics and Microsoft Clarity interaction data.
How We Use Information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, and provide agreed services.
- To confirm eligibility for a restricted package or complete requested application support.
- To prevent spam, misuse, fraud, and other security threats.
- To improve website performance and usability when you permit optional measurement tools.
- To maintain necessary business records and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Children and Young Clients
Some school-leaver clients may be under 18. A parent, guardian, or other competent person should submit or authorise any personal information and supporting documents for a client under 18. Please provide only what is necessary. Identity numbers, marks, and other unrelated details may be redacted where they are not needed for verification.
Service Providers and Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to operate the website and deliver enquiries, including our hosting provider, Formspree for form delivery, and Cloudflare Turnstile for automated spam checks. Google Analytics, Google advertising measurement, and Microsoft Clarity load only after the relevant optional consent. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
International Processing
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate privacy and security safeguards and to handle transfers consistently with applicable POPIA requirements.
Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, agreed service, record-keeping, security, legal, or dispute-resolution purpose for which it was collected. Retention periods vary by record and provider. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to lawful retention duties.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Email orders@cvcivets.co.za or call 063 313 8880. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator South Africa.
