POPIA Notice

This notice provides the information CV Civets gives data subjects when collecting and processing personal information under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). CV Civets is the responsible party for information processed through this website and its service communications.

Information and Its Source

We generally receive information directly from you or from a parent, guardian, or other authorised person acting for you. It may include contact details, enquiry content, service selections, CV and career information, and supporting or eligibility documents you later choose to provide. The website also receives limited technical and security information.

Purpose of Processing

• Responding to enquiries, preparing quotes, and delivering agreed writing or application-support services.
• Confirming eligibility where a restricted package requires reasonable proof.
• Managing service communications, necessary records, security, and spam prevention.
• Measuring and improving the website only where optional consent has been given.

Whether Information Is Required

Providing an enquiry is voluntary. We cannot respond or provide a requested service without the contact and service information reasonably needed for it. Proof for a restricted package is optional unless you wish to receive that rate. Unnecessary details may be redacted.

Children's Information

If the client is under 18, a parent, guardian, or other competent person should provide or authorise the client's personal information and supporting documents before they are sent.

Recipients and Cross-Border Processing

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, form delivery, security, and consented analytics, including Formspree, Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft. Some providers may process information outside South Africa, subject to their safeguards and applicable POPIA requirements. We do not sell personal information.

Information Security

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Please provide only the information needed for the enquiry or service.

Data Subject Requests
